Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and TermRover ("TermRover", "we", "us") governing your use of the TermRover mobile application for iOS and Android (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms also serve as the End User License Agreement (EULA) for the App.

1. Licence to use the App

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own lawful use, in accordance with these Terms and the usage rules of the App Store or Google Play. We reserve all rights not expressly granted to you.

You agree not to:

• copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App except as permitted by the open-source licences of its components;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this limitation;
• rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, or sublicense the App;
• remove or alter any proprietary notices; or
• use the App to access any system you are not authorised to access, or for any unlawful purpose.

2. Acceptable use and your responsibilities

TermRover is a tool for connecting to servers you choose, over the SSH protocol. You are solely responsible for the servers, accounts, and credentials you use with the App, for being authorised to access them, and for everything you do during a session. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and your SSH credentials. We have no visibility into and no responsibility for the systems you connect to or the data on them.

3. TermRover Pro, subscriptions, and the free trial

The core App is free to use. TermRover Pro is an optional in-app purchase that unlocks additional features (the current feature list is shown on the in-app paywall). Pro is available as either of the following, both of which grant the same "Pro" entitlement:

• Annual subscription — $13.99 USD per year, auto-renewable, beginning with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.
• Lifetime unlock — a one-time, non-consumable purchase of $39.99 USD, with no recurring charge.

Prices are stated in US dollars; the actual price, currency, and any applicable taxes are shown on the in-app paywall at the time of purchase and may vary by region and over time. The price displayed in the App at the moment you confirm a purchase is the price that applies.

Free trial. If you start the annual subscription with a free trial, you will not be charged during the trial period. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the trial automatically converts to a paid annual subscription and your store account is charged. If you purchase a subscription, any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited. Free trials are available only to eligible accounts that have not previously used a trial for this product, as determined by Apple or Google.

Auto-renewal. The annual subscription automatically renews for successive one-year periods at the then-current price unless you cancel it. Your store account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal continues until you cancel.

Managing and cancelling. You manage and cancel your subscription through your store account, not within the App:

• iOS: Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions.
• Android: Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep Pro until then. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.

Restoring purchases. You can restore a previous purchase from within the App using the same store account you bought it with.

No cross-platform entitlement. Purchases are tied to the store account on the platform where they were made. A purchase made on iOS does not grant Pro on Android, and vice versa. There is no TermRover account, login, or cloud sync.

4. Payments, billing, and refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), governed by that store's terms and the payment method on your store account. We do not receive or store your payment-card details. We use RevenueCat as our subscription-management provider to verify and record entitlement status; see our Privacy Policy for how purchase data is handled.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies, and you should direct refund requests to them. We are generally unable to issue refunds directly. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-excludable rights you may have under the consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

5. Third-party services

The App relies on services provided by others, each governed by its own terms and privacy policy: the App Store and Google Play for distribution and billing; RevenueCat for subscription management; Google Firebase for crash reporting and usage analytics (as described in our Privacy Policy); and your device platform's speech recognition for optional voice dictation. The remote servers you connect to are operated by you or by third parties, not by us. We are not responsible for third-party services or systems.

6. Intellectual property

The App, its name, and its design are owned by TermRover and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a licence to use the App, not ownership of it. The App includes third-party open-source components that remain licensed under their own terms; nothing here limits your rights under those licences.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that it will connect to or operate correctly with any particular server. You use the App at your own risk. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you, and you may have additional rights under consumer law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TermRover will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, or business, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the App — including any loss or damage to the servers or data you access through it. To the extent we are found liable despite the foregoing, our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) for the App in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not exclude liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Changes to the App and to these Terms

We may update, change, or discontinue features of the App at any time. We may also revise these Terms; when we do, we will update the date above and post the revised version at this URL. Material changes affecting your subscription will be handled consistently with the store's requirements. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and uninstall it. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — survive.

11. App Store (Apple) additional terms

If you obtained the App from the Apple App Store, the following also apply. These Terms are between you and TermRover only, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Your licence to use the App is limited to a non-transferable licence to use it on any Apple-branded device you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. To the extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation for the App; if the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any), and Apple has no other warranty obligation. TermRover, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product-liability, legal/regulatory, and intellectual-property claims. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and are not on any US Government prohibited-parties list. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

12. Google Play additional terms

If you obtained the App from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the App.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Vietnam — except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise, in which case that law applies.
